Smoked Turkey Soup

Small whole turkey

Smoke for about 45 minutesBoil turkey together with a bay leaf, onion, celery, carrots, and peppercorns for 1-1/2 hours Then take the meat from the bone, strain the broth and add carrots, barley and onionCook for 30 minutes until barley is soft

(Turkey meat: slice off bone, place in blender with 1-1/2 cups of the broth and blend for about 3-4 minutes. Can be added to the soup if so desired)
